Republican candidate for Teton County Sheriff, Eric Snow announced his “Deport with Dignity” initiative at the League of Women Voters sheriff’s debate in Jackson.
If elected, Snow will establish a program allowing immigration advocates and family members to meet with individuals in jail prior to deportation so they can contact loved ones, settle personal affairs, and coordinate the handling of possessions before removal.
“When someone is being deported, they should still be able to say goodbye to their family and get their basic affairs in order,” Snow said. “Deport with Dignity is a straightforward, practical step that treats people humanely while ensuring the law is enforced.”
Snow is the Republican nominee for Teton County Sheriff.
